Merry Christmas and thank you for your continued support over 2025!

It’s been a busy year for CFE, with multiple turnkey heating projects underway.

Thank you to our manufacturing partners Justsen, Heizomat, MultiHeat, Hoval and PYREG for their continued technical support, and we look forward to working with them on many more interesting projects next year.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported our content on LinkedIn and who reads our email newsletters. We enjoy putting out informative content and connecting with you when we can’t meet in person!

Without further ado here’s what we got up to this year!

Shows

5th- 6th March 2025: Low Carbon Agriculture Show

We attended the Low Carbon Agriculture show again this year, supported by our partner

Manufacturer PYREG. We had informative discussions with attendees about:

  • Pyrolysis and organic waste combustion for waste management

  • Low-carbon heat and power production such as biomass boilers; heat recovery; solar and battery storage

  • RHI transfers and biomass boiler replacements to meet your heating requirements

We enjoyed meeting you all at the show! Next year we are exhibiting at the Pig and Poultry Fair in May 2026, so we look forward to seeing many of you there.

Projects

Heat Exchangers

We have two large projects utilising the innovative MultiHeat Xchanger heat exchange modules (see December newsletter). One project is now up and running, producing promising results - recovered heat being conveyed at a maximum rate of ~36,000 m³ per hour to each house.  We intend to run further trials on these sites in 2026, so watch this space.

New Waste Wood Heating Systems on Broiler Farms

We have been busy designing and installing two waste wood heating systems in new broiler farms:

  • in the Northwest, delivering 1500 kW of dry heat to 5 sheds

  • near York, delivering dry heat to 6 sheds

Both are turnkey systems, which include:

  • all the underground pipework

  • biomass boiler

  • back up boilers

  • fuel transfer systems

  • and air handling units

Both systems have transferred RHI tariffs. The York based project also includes 6 x MultiHeat Xchanger units, improving the environment in each shed and reducing the farm’s heating costs.

Updates/News

We have been successful in winning an Innovate UK Adopt grant! The fund will be used to investigate the use of on-farm gasifier technology, to process poultry manure and provide heat. We will be working with two farmers in the Shropshire area during this project, which will start in the middle of 2026.

Updated website! We have freshened up our homepage and streamlined our information pages for ease of access. Check it out here: cfeng.co.uk

We were awarded SafeContractor Certification! Our health & safety policies and practices were assessed and approved by SafeContractor's certification team, meaning our installation and maintenance work is accredited as Health and Safety compliant.

Our partnership with leading global pyrolysis manufacturer PYREG goes from strength to strength. Next year we will be involved in the installation of a PYREG system, which will be used to turn green waste from a municipal recycling centre into valuable Biochar.

We are now a trusted organisation on Farm PEP, a knowledge exchange platform for sharing information on agricultural technology.

Thank you for making 2025 another fantastic year.

Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2026 from all the team at CFE!
